Gratitude Journal Prompts: Inject Some Positivity Into Your Life
It’s no secret that I believe in the power of gratitude. It’s great for your mood and can really help in managing your mental health. So I thought it was high time I put together some gratitude journal prompts for you to enjoy.
I know gratitude not going to solve all of my problems, remove my pain or get rid of the bad things that are happening in my life. It’s not a quick fix, or a magic potion you can take to never feel bad again. But it is powerful.
When you’re in the throws of depression it can feel like everything in your life just sucks. That’s your reality.
In fact negativity is such a huge part of illnesses like depression and anxiety that studies have shown a bias in information processing towards negative information. When asked to categorise words as positive or negative, people suffering from these illnesses were able to categorise the negative words more quickly than the positive.
If that doesn’t signify the need for positivity I don’t know what does.
Gratitude journalling gives you the opportunity to find something good in your life, in order to tackle that intense negativity. Even if its just one single thing – for me it’s often just my bed – no matter how big or small it is, it carries that power.
Why not try these gratitude journal prompts to try and inject a little sunshine into your life?

I have a soft spot for letters, since I write back and forth with my friends so much! I love that letters can be saved and that words and simple memories are kept eternal on paper, so writing to myself is a lovely idea. 🙂

People need to take some time out for gratitude. You don’t need a massive accomplishment to feel good about yourself. Give yourself permission to good about little things and you’ll be rich. If you need to make a million dollars to feel good , you’ll always be poor.
