About

So who exactly IS Philippa Claire?

I am a writer, first and foremost. I have been writing since I was able to hold a pen. It’s been the one thing I have continued to do throughout my whole life.

Whether it was a blog, a journal, notes from school/Uni, morning pages, thank you cards and even birthday cards, I would put my all into everything I wrote. I still do.

I started Philippa Claire with the aim to help people. As a sufferer of poor mental health, as well as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I am no stranger to the trials and turbulence of daily life.

Originally I dreamed of being a counsellor, however my M.E diagnosis put an end to any dream I had of making a career of helping people. I can barely work 15 hours, how could I make a career out of that. That was until I realised how much I could help people through my writing. I have a lot of first hand experience with mental health, and while I am by no means a professional, I do know what it feels like to struggle. I often document how it truly feels to suffer, as well as ways that I personally manage my conditions.

Writing is a wonderful outlet, and I put a lot of effort into it. Whether I am writing for my own blog, featuring on someone else’s blog or website, or writing for the vss365 hashtag on Twitter, I always put in 110%. I am adept at researching in almost any topic, not just mental health, and have taken it upon myself to learn the tricks of the trade, such as SEO, social media managing and increasing domain authority.

My most recent experience can be found on my portfolio page.
